About the participating organisations
Climate Safety & Security Centre
The Climate Safety & Security centre (CaSS) is a transdisciplinary research hub by TU Delft based at University Campus Spui in The Hague. The centre explores how climate change affects access to essential resources such as water, food, energy, and materials, and how these pressures can contribute to instability and security risks.
- 14:30 | Arrive at University Campus Spui and short introduction about the new repurposed building.
- 14:40 | Presentations and Q&A on CaSS with example projects by Jennifer Kockx, and Flagship Human Security and Urban Air by Femke Vossepoel.
- 15:15 | Poster display with Q&A
- 15:30 | End of visit
LocalDutch
LocalDutch is an organisation focused on transforming the fresh food chain by connecting local producers with communities through neighbourhood shops offering fresh, healthy, and locally grown food. THey aim to reduce dependence on imports and long supply chains while building economically viable, locally embedded food infrastructure.
Here, you will see a dry hydroponics facility in action with Celine, and their “recircular” no waste greenhouse tech by Micha Bruinvels or Maurice van der Knaap.
IHE Unesco Water Education
The IHE Delft Institute for Water Education is a UNESCO-affiliated organisation based in the Netherlands that provides graduate and professional education in water and environmental management.
IHE Delft also conducts applied research and collaborates with governments and communities to address challenges like water scarcity, climate change adaptation, and equitable access to clean water.

15:10: Questions and closing
15.15: Departure guests
Delfland Water Board
The Hoogheemraadschap van Delfland (Delfland Water Board) is the regional public authority responsible for managing water in a densely populated and low‑lying part of South Holland. It works to protect people, property, and nature by maintaining strong dikes, monitoring and regulating water levels in canals and polders, ensuring clean and healthy water, and treating wastewater for residents and businesses in its area.
At Delfland Water Board we will meet the Dike Reeve Piet-Hein Daverveldt and have an informal session about water management presentation, water buffers, American crayfish and alternative heating resources from sewage water.
TNO - Mobius Installation
Möbius is an initiative by the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) focused on advancing plastic waste recycling through a process called dissolution. Instead of traditional mechanical or purely chemical recycling, the Möbius technology uses a solvent‑based method to selectively dissolve certain polymers from mixed plastic waste, remove impurities and recover high‑quality polymers. The approach aims to bridge gaps in current recycling systems, especially for complex or contaminated plastic streams, and improve circularity in the plastics economy.
Meet Maarten Lortzer of TNO for a tour of TNO’s pilot dissolution technology that targets waste streams that are typically hard to recycle and recovers plastics without “downcycling”.
Space4Good
Space4Good is an impact-driven organisation that unites experts across data science, geospatial analysis, software development and environmental and urban planning. Leveraging tools such as remote sensing and GIS (Geographic Information System), the team translates complex spatial and environmental data into clear, practical insights. Their work empowers public institutions, NGOs, and impact-focused organisations to better understand and tackle challenges related to sustainability, climate adaptation and inclusive urban development.
Here, you'll meet with Founder, Alexander Gunkel, to learn about remote sensing tech that is helping to protect forests.
