Explore the European Union in The Hague

During the openings day people can play Mario Kart racing. The Europa Experience will give visitors the chance to explore how the European Union works — through a mix of multimedia and interactive exhibits, including a 360° cinema and immersive displays. Similar centres already exist in 16 cities across Europe.

“The European Union is important to The Hague — and with 29 European organisations based here, The Hague is equally important to the European Union. The Europa Experience is a valuable addition to our educational landscape, particularly in the areas of democracy and the international rule of law.”

Robert van Asten, Deputy Mayor for Urban Development, Strategy and European Affairs

The city of Peace and Justice

The Europa Experience complements The Hague’s existing educational institutions, such as ProDemos, the Binnenhof, the Peace Palace, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Spui Campus of Leiden University and multiple other universities.

The EU’s choice of The Hague as the location for one of its Europa Experience centres reinforces the city’s profile as an international centre for peace and justice, offering all who visit a new perspective on European democracy.
