VV Engage Pillar and Social Entrepreneurs through the VV Venture Pillar

The cohort gathers Public Leaders through the VV Engage Pillar and Social Entrepreneurs through the VV Venture Pillar. On the Engage pillar we have Chile's minister Antonia Orellana who has steered landmark protections against gender-based violence. Kosovo’s Liza Gashi links diplomacy and the diaspora to strengthen institutions. From Asia, Nepal’s Sobita Gautam—its youngest directly elected MP—pushes reforms on law, health and accountability, while Breeze Liu (China/US) pioneers survivor-centred legislation and AI tools against image-based abuse.

Innovators in Social Enterprise

On the Venture Pillar, Archana Kotecha (Mauritius) sets new benchmarks for worker rights through The Remedy Project; India’s Aradhana Rai Gupta scales Project Baala’s reusable pads and women-led livelihoods; and Supriya Paul’s Josh Talks opens opportunity for millions of young people. Media leaders Byambadulam Enkhbayar (Mongolia) and Brazil’s Mariana Ribeiro use broadcasting and film to shift narratives and widen civic space. Refugee-led governance gains force through Rez Gardi’s R-SEAT, embedding co-leadership in UN decision-making.

All fellows animates the cohort’s most-selected SDGs—5 (Gender Equality) and 8 (Decent Work)—and show how cross-regional collaboration can accelerate climate action, inclusive education, digital safety and democratic resilience.

About Vital Voices Global Fellowship

Launched in June 2025, the fellowship began with a foundational curriculum rooted in the Vital Voices Leadership Journey, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and strategies to foster impactful collaboration across sectors. The upcoming convening in The Hague builds on this foundation, offering deeper learning opportunities designed to strengthen leadership capacity, spark innovation, and promote meaningful partnerships to address some of today’s global challenges.

The Hague—a renowned hub for its international organisations and role in advancing social impact and peace—serves as an inspiring backdrop for this milestone convening. As the fellowship progresses, the program seeks to expand opportunities for women leaders to connect, learn, and amplify their influence on a global stage. Following the in-person gathering, fellows will transition into pillar programming for the remainder of the fellowship, aligned with the two distinct tracks: VV Venture (for social entrepreneurs) and VV Engage (for public leaders). This phase will focus on skill development tailored to support the fellow’s area of impact. Together, the fellows represent 39 countries and are united by a shared commitment to building a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable world.
