The Hague Humanity Hub and Gemeente Den Haag’s programme Just Peace Month is coming in September of 2022. A month full of events and initiatives for people in The Hague themed around ‘Hope in Times of Adversity’.
But this can’t happen without people joining in! So we’re calling on people and organisations in the city of The Hague to doe mee, get inspired, and join us in celebrating hope. We’re delighted to announce our ‘pillar events’- which will take place in iconic Peace and Justice-themed locations in The Hague and will structure our month.
On October 7 we’ll be teaming up with The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) for a Just Peace Career & Talent event! Whether you’re looking for the perfect hire to join your team, or are seeking a career in the world of Peace & Justice, there will be something for everyone!
Throughout the month, we’ll be holding Peace & Justice walking tours of the City of The Hague: the perfect way to find out more about the global relevance of buildings you walk past every day.
On October 16 we’ll be helping tens of Haags institutions throw open their doors so you can get a sneak peak of the chambers at the International Criminal Court, the corridors of power at Europol, or the board room at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs!
And finally, we’ll also have a feestelijke closing event on October 24.
But we want you to get involved too!
Any individual or organisation can also get involved in the Just Peace Month: from local initiatives through to international events. Submit your event via this form and we’ll be more than happy to amplify your event, extend your reach, and bring you into the Just Peace family!
